Don’t miss Bunny Bonanzoo at Stone Zoo!

Every year we try to visit different places in New Hampshire and the surrounding states. Each New England state has a lot to offer. One place that we like to visit is the Stone Zoo in Stoneham, Massachusetts!

This is a very nice zoo that the kids really enjoy (I like the big cats) and it is easy to get to.  The Stone Zoo has many special events and Easter is no exception.

Don’t miss Bunny Bonanzoo at Stone Zoo! This popular event features the Easter bunny, activities and more!

WHAT IT IS: Hop on down the bunny trail to Stone Zoo where an Easter celebration awaits! Children’s activities include scavenger hunts, crafts, opportunities to meet the zookeepers and other fun surprises. Take The Bait at the New England Aquarium

penguinsOn Tuesday of this week, we attended a member-only, evening event that took place at the New England Aquarium in Boston, Massachusetts. It was called Take The Bait!

This event allowed members and their family to visit the Aquarium during December school vacation without the crowds. We love the aquarium so to have the opportunity to visit without the crowds was great.

We saw penguins, turtles, shark, jellyfish and many other sea creatures. We also walked the turtle trail, which featured six stops around the Aquarium with live turtles. The kids learned facts about turtles and stamped their turtle passports.

We also saw live animal presentations and visited the Aquarium Medical discovery-tankCenter to learn how the Aquarium rehabilitates sick and wounded turtles.

After visiting all of the exhibits, the kids explored sea creatures in the touch tank. They got to hold a starfish and a snail.

The Aquarium is a great place to take the kids for the day or for a few hours. They are open year round. After visiting the Aquarium, you can also walk to Faneuil Hall Market Place and explore the shops. The Frog Pond at Boston Common and playground is also a short drive or T-ride away.

We also took a trip to Boston this past summer for our vacation. You can read about it here…>
